TRAILER: Sabotage

Is it me, or does this almost look like Arnold's version of THE EXPENDABLES with a younger crew? Either way, I like it. This is the gritty kind of cop drama I love from the folks that brought us TRAINING DAY and END OF WATCH--two awesome flicks. And Arnie looks great, better than he did in THE LAST STAND, which was alright, but this definitely looks like a true action comeback. I hope it delivers.

TRAILER: Robocop

The first trailer for this remake didn't do anything for me. This is partly because I love the old one (the first two actually), and partly because I loath the idea of this being remade at a PG-13 level. That said, this second trailer looks great. I love the concept, I love that they didn't simply rehash the old, and I think the visual upgrade looks promising. Will it hold up? Who knows. With robots (due to a lack of blood) sometimes you can make magic with a bit of the old misdirection, and honestly, I'm hoping they pull it off. Either way, this flick now has my full attention.

TRAILER: The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

Truth be told, I enjoyed the first HOBBIT film much more than I thought I would. I'm very excited for this next entry and the first trailer was great. This extended one, however, elicits all the right emotions, and fuels my adrenaline. I've never been more excited for December than I am right now. I just hope the trilogy ends more evenly than LORD OF THE RINGS did.

TRAILER: The Lego Movie

At first glance, you may think "This is absolutely ridiculous", and well, you'd be right. A Lego movie is as asinine an idea as all the Lego themed video games (of which they make at least one a year). And then I watched it...and laughed my ass off. This will be funny, mostly due to the presence of Batman (for me, anyway), but I think this will be a much funner time than it has any right to be. Okay Hollywood, you win this round.
